Job Brief
The Network Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing an organization’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN). This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network systems, ensuring the integrity and availability of hardware, software, and server resources. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and experience in network monitoring, resource management, and system upgrades, alongside a thorough understanding of data communications and operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Monitor network performance and verify the integrity and availability of hardware and server resources.
- Review system and application logs to ensure the completion of scheduled jobs, including backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access effectively.
- Install and upgrade software, ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements.
- Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination of data communications hardware and software.
- Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
- Document network configurations and maintain inventory of network equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network administration or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, protocols, and network infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, data communications, and server management.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
- Technical certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+) are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
