Job Brief
The Network Analyst is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and data communications systems. This role requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server management, and system monitoring, along with the ability to analyze network performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in network administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in both physical and virtual server environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN systems to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, software, and server resources.
- Review system and application logs to ensure the completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption to optimize performance and control user access.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications while ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements.
- Assist in network modeling, planning, and coordination between data communications hardware and software.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes for operational continuity and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Analyst or in a similar network administration role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and software.
- Familiarity with firewall and security configurations for data protection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
