Job Brief

As a Neonatologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and injuries in newborns and infants. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations and assessments of newborns to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for infants with complex health issues.
  • Provide advanced life support and resuscitation for critically ill neonates.
  • Monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with pediatric specialists and healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on infant health, development, and care practices.
  • Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to advance neonatal care.
  • Ensure compliance with medical guidelines, policies, and regulations in the neonatal unit.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with successful completion of a residency in Pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in Neonatology, with board certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in neonatal intensive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
  • Proficiency in performing advanced medical procedures and interventions in neonates.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in neonatal medicine.
