Job Brief
The Naval Tactical Data System Combat Information Center Watch Officer is responsible for managing critical communications, detection, and weapons systems essential for the effective control of air, ground, and naval operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of communications, detection, and weapon systems to ensure seamless coordination between air, naval, and ground forces.
- Formulate and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams and agencies to facilitate effective crisis management.
- Evaluate command center information and assess the need for high-level military and government reporting.
- Manage the operation of surveillance and detection systems to maintain situational awareness.
- Provide technical information and advice regarding system capabilities and operational readiness.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure mission success.
- Conduct training and drills to enhance team preparedness and response capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within naval or military operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of naval tactical data systems and combat information center operations.
- Strong technical skills in managing surveillance, detection, and weapons systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities, especially under pressure.
- Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning.
- Relevant certifications in military operations or information systems are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stakes environment while maintaining focus on mission objectives.
