Job Brief
As a Naval Aircrewman Helicopter, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation systems and the ability to operate sophisticated aircraft communications and detection equipment. You will be responsible for conducting preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections while ensuring the safety and efficiency of all onboard systems. Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft communications and detection equipment, establishing satellite linkages and jamming enemy communications capabilities.
- Conduct thorough preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems, ensuring readiness for combat scenarios.
- Operate and maintain in-flight refueling systems to support mission requirements.
- Execute aircraft safety and emergency procedures effectively during all phases of flight.
- Compute and verify passenger, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment weight and balance data to maintain aircraft stability.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops accurately in accordance with mission specifications.
- Collaborate with flight crews to ensure mission objectives are met and operational safety is upheld.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; relevant military training or experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of aviation systems, including communications and detection equipment.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining aircraft weapons, defensive systems, and in-flight refueling systems.
- Ability to execute safety and emergency procedures effectively in high-stress environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for conducting inspections and managing equipment.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with crew members and coordinate mission objectives.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and certifications as required by military standards.
