Job Brief
As a Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Crewmember, you will play a crucial role in targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced artillery systems designed to engage enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) to ensure optimal performance during combat operations.
- Conduct thorough testing, inspection, and storage of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to meet safety and operational standards.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on artillery equipment and related systems to ensure readiness and reliability.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications for coordination with team members and command units.
- Utilize advanced weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to accurately engage designated targets.
- Collaborate with field artillery and air defense teams to develop tactical strategies for mission success.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance skills and ensure compliance with military protocols and safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training or experience in artillery operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of artillery systems, including MLRS, cannons, howitzers, and missile systems.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining communication systems and computer software related to targeting and launching operations.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and make quick, informed decisions.
- Valid military security clearance may be required based on operational needs.
- Physical fitness and ability to meet the demands of field operations and equipment handling.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to support collaborative mission efforts.
