The Muck Hauler, Extraction role is vital in the mining and construction sectors, responsible for transporting excavated materials safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty muck hauling equipment, including trucks and loaders, to transport excavated materials.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of muck while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on hauling equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with extraction teams to efficiently manage material flow and project timelines.
- Monitor and report on the condition of haul routes and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and report to site supervisors as required.
- Adhere to site safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and participate in safety training sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy machinery operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a muck hauler or in a similar extraction role within mining or construction.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations regarding material transport.
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding work conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively on site.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
