Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Motor Rewinder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for winding wire coils for various electrical components and equipment, including resistors, transformers, electric motors, generators, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in motor rewinding and possess strong technical skills in electrical systems. A keen attention to detail and the ability to work with precision tools are essential for ensuring high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Wind wire coils for electrical components such as transformers, resistors, and motors.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment to determine rewinding needs.
- Disassemble and reassemble electric motors and generators for inspection and repair.
- Utilize precision tools to ensure accurate winding and assembly of coils.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize motor efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in electrical work.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Motor Rewinder or similar role in the electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory and motor design.
- Proficiency in using winding machines and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical maintenance is a plus.
