Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Motor Coach Driver to operate buses and motor coaches for regular route operations, charters, and private carriage services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to passenger safety and comfort. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to assist passengers with their needs, including baggage handling and fare collection. Previous experience in passenger transport is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Drive bus or motor coach safely and efficiently on designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage fare collection and ticket verification for all passengers.
- Maintain clean and orderly conditions in the vehicle, adhering to company standards.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety issues to management promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger counts.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- Proven experience as a motor coach or bus driver.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle passenger inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarity with route navigation and GPS systems.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of motor vehicles is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
