Job Brief
As a Motion Picture Camera Operator, you will be responsible for operating television, video, or film cameras to capture high-quality images and scenes for various productions. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain film, video, and television cameras to capture scenes and images.
- Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and production teams to understand shooting requirements and artistic vision.
- Set up and adjust camera equipment, including lenses, filters, and lighting, to achieve desired visual effects.
- Monitor footage during filming to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of filming locations and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in camera technology to enhance production quality.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while on set to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a camera operator in film, television, or video production.
- Strong technical knowledge of camera systems and equipment, including digital and analog formats.
- Proficiency in using camera accessories, such as tripods, dollies, and cranes.
- Familiarity with post-production processes and software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye for capturing compelling visuals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and receive direction.
