Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Service Recreational Vehicle Technician to provide exceptional diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for a variety of recreational vehicles, including travel trailers. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems. Additionally, expertise in generator repairs, appliance maintenance, and customized van conversions will be highly valued. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and inspect recreational vehicles to identify mechanical issues and determine repair needs.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, or overhauls on gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems.
- Repair and maintain generators, appliances, and other interior components of recreational vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Execute customized van conversions to meet client specifications and enhance functionality.
- Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records for customer files.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repair options and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or RV service preferred.
- Proven experience as a Recreational Vehicle Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of gas, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems in recreational vehicles.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while completing service requests.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and provide clear explanations of services performed.
