Job Brief
As a Migratory Game Bird Biologist, you will play a pivotal role in studying the origins, behavior, and life processes of migratory game birds. Responsibilities
- Conduct research on migratory game bird populations to understand their behavior, genetics, and health.
- Collect and analyze biological data to evaluate the effects of habitat use on migratory bird species.
- Develop and implement management strategies to enhance and protect migratory bird populations and their habitats.
- Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote conservation initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations based on research findings for stakeholders and the public.
- Monitor and assess the impact of environmental changes and human activities on migratory bird populations.
- Participate in field studies and surveys to gather data on migratory bird movements and breeding habits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in wildlife research and data analysis, specifically related to avian species.
- Strong knowledge of ecological principles and migratory bird conservation practices.
- Proficient in statistical analysis software and GIS mapping tools.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in remote field locations and under varying environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field research activities.
