Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Metal Spraying Machine Operator to effectively set up, operate, and tend to plating machines for the coating of metal or plastic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying protective and decorative metal coatings such as chromium, zinc, copper, cadmium, and nickel. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate metal spraying machines according to specifications.
- Operate machines to coat products with various metals, ensuring uniform coverage.
- Monitor the plating process to maintain quality standards and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for defects and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize hazards and risks.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and product quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metal finishing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Metal Spraying Machine Operator or similar role.
- Familiarity with plating processes and metal properties.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
