Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Metal Roofing Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining metal roofing systems for various structures. Responsibilities
- Install and repair metal roofs, ensuring proper alignment and durability.
- Cover roofs of structures with shingles, slate, asphalt, and other related materials.
- Utilize hand and power tools to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials.
- Inspect and assess roofing systems for potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Apply sealants and insulations to roofs, sidings, and walls to enhance performance.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Metal Roofing Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in construction.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certifications in roofing or construction safety are a plus.
