Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Metal Punch Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain punch press machines for processing metal and plastic materials. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machine operations, safety protocols, and quality control. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate punch press machines according to specifications and production schedules.
- Operate punch press equipment to perform cutting, shearing, and notching on metal and plastic materials.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of punch press machinery to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output rates and material usage.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Metal Punch Press Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in manufacturing settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
