Responsibilities

- Select and order merchandise according to contractual agreements while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct meetings with sales personnel to introduce new products and align purchasing strategies with sales objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor and evaluate merchandise performance, adjusting purchasing strategies based on sales outcomes.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Merchandise Buyer or similar role in retail or wholesale environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market research.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of supply chain management and vendor relations.
