Job Brief
The Mechanic’s Assistant plays a vital role in supporting installation, maintenance, and repair operations across vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical systems. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Furnish tools, materials, and supplies to mechanics and technicians as needed to facilitate repair work.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including tools and machinery, to promote safety and efficiency.
- Hold materials or tools for mechanics during repair and maintenance tasks to streamline operations.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by gathering relevant information and assisting in the diagnosis of mechanical issues.
- Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on vehicles and equipment under the supervision of experienced mechanics.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or mechanical repair is a plus.
- Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance role preferred, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle and machinery repair.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate work and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively coordinate with team members.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
