Job Brief
As a Marriage Therapist, you will diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage and family systems. Your primary responsibilities will include applying psychotherapeutic and family systems theories to provide effective counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health issues affecting individuals and couples.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clients’ specific needs and therapeutic goals.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate communication and conflict resolution among family members.
- Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions in a safe and confidential environment.
- Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Educate clients on coping strategies and tools to manage relationship challenges.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client sessions and treatment plans in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources for comprehensive client care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in providing therapy to couples and families in various settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods and family systems theories.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in therapy practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
