Job Brief
As a Marine Electronics Repairer, you will be responsible for the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mobile electronic communication equipment on various watercraft and mobile equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic systems including sonar, navigation, security, and surveillance technologies. Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain a variety of mobile electronics communication systems such as sound, sonar, navigation, security, and surveillance equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on existing electronic systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Document all repairs, maintenance, and installations in compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in marine electronics to improve service quality.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the proper use of electronic equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marine Electronics Repairer or in a similar role focused on mobile electronic systems.
- Strong knowledge of marine electronics systems including navigation, sonar, and communication technologies.
- Technical certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions and on different types of mobile equipment.
