Job Brief
The Machinist Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily activities of production and operating workers, ensuring efficient workflow in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams, including machinists, fabricators, and operators.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing employees to enhance skillsets.
- Assist in scheduling and planning production runs to meet deadlines and customer demands.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate professional growth.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, employee performance, and compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tool operation, and precision measurement techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate teams.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
