Job Brief
As a Machine Engraver, you will be responsible for engraving or etching various materials including metal, wood, and rubber. This role requires precision and a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality engravings that meet client specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with engraving machinery, knowledge of different materials, and strong technical skills to operate equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate engraving machines to etch designs on metal, wood, rubber, and other materials.
- Interpret and follow detailed specifications and blueprints for engraving projects.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of engraved products by performing regular machine maintenance and inspections.
- Collaborate with design teams to create customized engravings that meet client requirements.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify engraving designs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies used for engraving processes.
- Train and mentor junior engravers on machine operation and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machine Engraver or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of engraving machinery and techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD software and design tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong artistic sense.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
