Job Brief
The Logistics Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing and coordinating the logistical functions of an organization. This position is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of products, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and experience in supply chain management to optimize operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze logistical data to improve supply chain processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate the acquisition, distribution, and internal allocation of resources across various departments.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely product delivery.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline operations.
- Prepare reports and presentations on logistics performance metrics for management review.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement solutions to optimize the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to logistics and transportation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst or in a similar role within the supply chain industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Knowledge of logistics software and ERP systems to facilitate operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with inventory management and transportation regulations.
- Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) are a plus.
