Responsibilities
- Operate logging tractors or wheeled vehicles equipped with bulldozer blades, grapples, and logging arches to fell trees and manage logs.
- Skid, load, unload, and stack logs using advanced logging machinery and accessories.
- Perform site clearing tasks, including pulling stumps and clearing brush to maintain operational efficiency.
- Utilize stand-alone logging machines, such as log chippers, for effective wood processing.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices to mitigate risks on logging sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate logging operations and maximize productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logging Forwarder Operator or similar role in the forestry industry.
- Strong technical skills in operating heavy machinery, including logging tractors and stand-alone logging equipment.
- Valid certification for operating heavy equipment or logging machinery, as required by local regulations.
