Job Brief
The Loan Interviewer plays a critical role in the loan application process by engaging with potential borrowers to gather and verify essential information. Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with loan applicants to collect necessary information for loan processing.
- Investigate applicants’ backgrounds and verify references to assess creditworthiness.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive loan request papers for review and approval.
- Forward findings, reports, and documentation to the appraisal department for further evaluation.
- Review loan papers for completeness and accuracy before finalizing transactions.
- Facilitate communication between loan establishment, borrowers, and sellers upon loan approval.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to loan applicants throughout the loan process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Loan Interviewer or similar role in the banking or finance industry.
- Strong understanding of loan processing and underwriting procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with applicants effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in using loan processing software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in lending or finance are a plus.
