Job Brief
The Liquid Sugar Fortifier is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that blends and mixes liquid sugar and other ingredients in the production of various food products. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production environments, particularly in candy and cheese manufacturing, along with the ability to ensure product quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate mixing and blending equipment for liquid sugar production.
- Operate machinery to combine liquid sugar with other ingredients according to specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mixing equipment.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of ingredient usage and batch quality.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement best practices for food safety and sanitation throughout the production process.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in food technology or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing, specifically in liquid sugar or similar production roles.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control measures.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot blending and mixing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles is a plus.
