Job Brief
As a Linseed Oil Temperer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining continuous flow or vat-type equipment, including filter presses, centrifuges, and evaporating tanks. This role requires proficiency in extracting, sorting, and separating liquids and solids to produce a refined linseed oil product. Ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of dairy processing equipment and have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate continuous flow and vat-type processing equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Monitor and control the operation of filter presses, shaker screens, and centrifuges to maintain product quality.
- Manage the processing of linseed oil through various methods, including precipitating, fermenting, and evaporating.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in all operational processes.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of processing activities.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in processing equipment is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Linseed Oil Temperer or in a similar processing role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in chemical processing and equipment operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
