- Sort, shelve, and organize books and media, ensuring proper placement in the library stacks.
- Remove or repair damaged books and media to uphold collection quality.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process of library materials, including fines and fees.
- Assist in the operations of bookmobiles, providing library services in mobile environments.
- Collaborate with librarians and staff on special projects and initiatives to enhance library services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Library Science or related field is preferred.
- Experience in library services or customer service roles is a plus.
- Proficient in using library management software and online databases.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for cataloging and sorting materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patrons effectively.
