Job Brief

Responsibilities

- Operate earth-moving equipment and trucks to transport hazardous waste to designated disposal sites.
- Follow strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance during all phases of abatement work.
- Prepare detailed reports on hazardous material findings and abatement procedures.
- Collaborate with environmental engineers and safety officers to assess site conditions and develop abatement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handled and disposed of, adhering to documentation requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in hazardous materials handling preferred.
- Certification in lead abatement and hazardous materials handling is required.
- Proven experience in lead abatement, asbestos removal, or related environmental work.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, including trucks and earth-moving equipment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
