Job Brief
The Lawn Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the landscape and upkeep of residential and commercial properties using a variety of hand and power tools. This role requires knowledge of turf management, plant care, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and planting, as well as a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining the aesthetic and health of outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain turf and garden areas.
- Perform sod laying, mowing, trimming, and edging tasks to enhance the visual appeal of properties.
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees to improve landscape aesthetics and biodiversity.
- Water and fertilize lawns and plants to promote healthy growth and sustainability.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drainage solutions.
- Conduct regular maintenance on landscaping tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare and maintain garden beds by digging, raking, and removing debris.
- Assist in the installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units for landscaping projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lawn Maintenance Worker or similar role in landscaping.
- Knowledge of horticulture, turf management, and landscape design principles.
- Ability to operate lawn care equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in landscape maintenance or horticulture is a plus.
