Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Care Worker to maintain the beauty and health of residential and commercial landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess experience in various lawn care techniques, including mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing. Strong attention to detail, the ability to operate hand and power tools, and a commitment to providing exceptional service are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Install sod and oversee planting and watering of flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance landscape aesthetics.
- Apply fertilizers and pest control treatments in compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain lawn care machinery, ensuring equipment is in safe working order.
- Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying and addressing issues as needed.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinkler layout and adjustments.
- Conduct general grounds maintenance, including raking, digging, and debris removal.
- Assist in the installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Lawn Care Worker or in a similar landscaping role.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools related to lawn care and landscaping.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, soil health, and pest management practices.
- Ability to operate lawn maintenance machinery safely and efficiently.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
