Job Brief
As a Language Pathologist, you will assess and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, contributing to their communication and quality of life. This role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and relevant clinical experience. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and current research to inform treatment methodologies.
- Teach patients and families how to use alternative communication systems when necessary.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to support patient needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language disorders.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on advancements in speech-language pathology.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
