Job Brief
As a Lance Crewmember/MLRS Sergeant, you will play a critical role in operating and maintaining advanced weapons systems to effectively target and neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This position requires a strong technical background in field artillery operations, as well as expertise in the handling and maintenance of missiles, rockets, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to perform under pressure in dynamic combat environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and other artillery equipment in field operations.
- Conduct targeting and firing procedures to ensure accurate delivery of munitions against enemy threats.
- Test, inspect, and store ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on artillery systems and related equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications for coordination with command units.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior crewmembers in artillery operations and safety procedures.
- Participate in drills and training exercises to maintain operational readiness and proficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military experience preferred.
- Completion of the appropriate military training related to artillery operations and systems.
- Strong understanding of weapons systems, including howitzers, rockets, and missiles.
- Proficiency in operating communication and targeting systems.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid military certifications for operating specific weapons systems.
- Physical fitness and capability to meet the demands of field operations.
