Job Brief
The Ladle Repairer is responsible for the construction and maintenance of critical equipment, including ladles, furnaces, and kilns, utilizing advanced refractory materials. Responsibilities
- Construct and repair ladles, ensuring proper functioning in metallurgical applications.
- Utilize refractory materials to build or restore equipment, such as furnaces and kilns.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on ladles and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment design and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all maintenance and repair tasks.
- Train and mentor junior staff on ladle repair techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fabrication preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ladle repair or related fields within the metallurgical industry.
- Strong knowledge of refractory materials and their applications in high-temperature environments.
- Proficiency in welding and metalworking techniques, including MIG and TIG welding.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
