Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver laboratory samples, documents, and packages promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a clear and organized log of all deliveries and pickups to ensure accountability.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while transporting sensitive materials.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies before delivery and report issues as necessary.
- Utilize various modes of transportation, including foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or automobile, to complete deliveries.
- Assist in managing inventory of supplies related to courier activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in courier services preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if applicable).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Familiarity with laboratory environments and protocols is a plus.
- Proficiency in using mobile devices and navigation applications.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift packages of varying weights.
