Job Brief
As a Labor Relations Representative, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment by resolving disputes between employees and management. You will negotiate collective bargaining agreements and coordinate grievance procedures to address employee concerns effectively. Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between management and employees to resolve conflicts and promote a cooperative work environment.
- Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with labor unions, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organizational objectives.
- Investigate and coordinate grievance procedures to address employee complaints and disputes effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to management on labor relation strategies, policies, and best practices.
- Analyze labor market trends and economic factors affecting labor relations to inform negotiation strategies.
- Conduct training sessions for management and employees on labor relations topics and conflict resolution techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of negotiations, grievances, and resolutions to ensure compliance and facilitate reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance and mitigate risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in labor relations, conflict resolution, or employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with grievance procedures and mediation techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Certification in labor relations or HR management (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
