Job Brief
As a Kosher Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing high-quality meat products in accordance with kosher dietary laws. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare consumer-sized portions of meat for retail sales while ensuring compliance with kosher standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment to adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering meat preparation advice.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock management, and ensure freshness of meat products.
- Collaborate with team members to execute daily operations effectively, including receiving and storing meat deliveries.
- Follow all kosher butchering practices and uphold the integrity of kosher standards at all times.
- Assist in training new staff on proper butchering techniques and customer service protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a butcher or in a related meat preparation role in a retail environment.
- In-depth knowledge of kosher dietary laws and butchering techniques.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cutting techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods.
- Certification in food safety or relevant butchery techniques is preferred.
