Job Brief
The Iron Guardrail Installer is responsible for raising, placing, and uniting iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to construct secure and durable frameworks. Responsibilities
- Install iron guardrails and structural members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately position and secure girders and columns.
- Operate heavy machinery, including cranes and forklifts, for the safe transportation and placement of materials.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
- Conduct inspections of installed structures to verify stability and integrity.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize risks on the job site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or metalworking preferred.
- Proven experience as an iron or steel installer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as required.
