Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Taker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, and coordinating transportation of products. Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of incoming merchandise and materials against shipping documents.
- Record and maintain detailed records of inventory movements and transactions.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Identify discrepancies in inventory and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and report inventory levels.
- Assist in the development of inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required.
