Job Brief
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming merchandise, ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
- Coordinate the transportation of products to and from the warehouse or distribution center.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packaging and labeling according to company standards.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to streamline operations and improve processes.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Clerk or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and vendors.
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes, including knowledge of safety standards.
