Job Brief
As an Industrial Engineering Technician, you will apply engineering principles and theories to optimize industrial layouts and enhance manufacturing production processes. Under the guidance of engineering staff, you will conduct time and motion studies to analyze worker operations across various industries, aiming to establish standard production rates and improve overall efficiency. Responsibilities
- Conduct time and motion studies to assess worker efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze production workflows and layout designs to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions for manufacturing challenges.
- Utilize statistical methods and tools to evaluate production performance data.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various manufacturing processes.
- Monitor production processes and recommend adjustments to optimize outputs.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and present recommendations to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve production methodologies.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering Technology or related field.
- Proven experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and production teams.
- Knowledge of CAD software and production simulation tools is a plus.
- Certification in Six Sigma or related methodologies is preferred.
