Job Brief
The In Flight Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational success of various missions, including combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue. Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft communications and detection equipment, including establishing satellite linkages and managing enemy communication jamming.
- Conduct comprehensive preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Operate and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems, ensuring they are fully functional for mission execution.
- Manage in-flight refueling systems, coordinating fuel transfers during missions.
- Execute aircraft safety and emergency procedures, providing critical support during high-stakes situations.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops, ensuring precision and adherence to mission protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in aviation or aerospace technology preferred.
- Proven experience as an In Flight Technician or in a similar role within military or aviation environments.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including communications, navigation, and weapons systems.
- Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other crew members.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in aviation operations.
- Valid pilot’s license or equivalent aviation certification is a plus.
