Job Brief
As an Ice Rink Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons at the ice skating facility. You will be responsible for scheduling the use of recreational areas, maintaining equipment, and assisting participants in various sporting events and recreational activities. Responsibilities
- Monitor ice rink activities to ensure safety and compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Assist patrons with ice skating equipment rentals and provide guidance on proper usage.
- Schedule and coordinate public skating sessions, private events, and recreational activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ice rink and surrounding areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Operate concession stands and provide refreshments to patrons during events.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including equipment and signage.
- Perform routine maintenance on ice rink equipment and report any issues to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in recreation management or sports is a plus.
- Previous experience in a recreational or customer service role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of ice skating and related sports.
- First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and assist patrons as needed.
