Job Brief
The Hospital Aide provides essential support and basic care to patients within healthcare or nursing facilities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role involves monitoring patients’ health status, assisting with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including feeding, bathing, and dressing.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients’ health status to nursing staff.
- Support patients with mobility and ambulation as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Assist with the administration of medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in nursing assistance preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or nursing facility is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of patient care procedures and health-related tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform lifting tasks as needed.
