Job Brief
The Highway Painter Helper supports skilled painters by assisting with various tasks related to highway and road painting projects. Responsibilities
- Assist highway painters in preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning and priming areas as needed.
- Supply paints, tools, and equipment to painters during job execution.
- Hold and support tools and materials to facilitate painting tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and properly storing tools and materials.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills applicable to painting and construction tasks.
- Report any issues or concerns to supervising painters promptly.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of painting techniques and materials preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with safety practices in construction environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on job location.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from skilled painters.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
