Job Brief
The High Rigger is responsible for setting up and repairing rigging systems for a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, logging, shipping, and entertainment. This role requires a thorough understanding of rigging techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair rigging equipment for various applications including construction and entertainment.
- Inspect rigging systems and components to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate lifting operations and provide guidance to crew members during rigging activities.
- Utilize rigging tools and hardware effectively to secure loads and ensure stability.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work plans for rigging tasks.
- Document rigging activities, maintenance, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, safety regulations, and new rigging technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a High Rigger or similar role in construction, manufacturing, or entertainment industries.
- In-depth knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
- Certification in rigging and lifting (e.g., NCCCO, OSHA) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rigging machinery and vehicles.
