Job Brief
The High Pressure Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide essential utilities for buildings and industrial processes. This role requires a solid understanding of steam engines, generators, turbines, and steam boilers, along with relevant certifications and experience in high-pressure systems. Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure boilers and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Monitor boiler operations and performance metrics to maintain efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boilers, turbines, generators, and other mechanical systems.
- Regulate and control steam pressure, water levels, and temperature in accordance with operational standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and ensure reliability.
- Document operational data and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and management to implement improvements in operations and safety measures.
- Respond to emergencies and operational disruptions promptly to mitigate risks and restore service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training preferred.
- Valid High-Pressure Boiler Operator License or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers and related equipment.
- Strong knowledge of steam systems, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and operating heavy equipment.
