Job Brief
The Helicopter Utility Aircrewman plays a crucial role in supporting various missions, including combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue operations. Responsibilities
- Perform in-flight duties to ensure successful mission execution for combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue.
- Operate aircraft communications and detection equipment, establishing satellite linkages and jamming enemy communications.
- Conduct comprehensive preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems for optimal performance during missions.
- Operate and maintain in-flight refueling systems to support extended mission capabilities.
- Execute safety and emergency procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and special equipment.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops, ensuring accuracy and safety during operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or military experience preferred.
- Experience operating helicopter systems and equipment in a utility aircrew capacity.
- Strong knowledge of aviation safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ability to operate and maintain aircraft communications and detection systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft weapons systems and defensive measures.
- Proficiency in computing weight and balance calculations for safe aircraft operation.
- Certification in aviation survival and emergency response training.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
