Responsibilities
- Select and fit hearing aids based on individual client needs and preferences.
- Administer and interpret comprehensive hearing tests to evaluate auditory function.
- Assess and ensure the efficacy of hearing instruments through regular follow-ups.
- Take precise ear impressions and prepare, design, and modify custom ear molds.
- Provide exceptional customer service and education to clients about hearing aids and their care.
- Maintain accurate records of client fittings, adjustments, and follow-up evaluations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in hearing technology and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with audiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hearing instrument fitting preferred.
- Proven experience as a Hearing Instrument Specialist or in a related role.
- Knowledge of audiometric testing and hearing aid technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid state license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proficient in using hearing aid fitting software and related technology.
