Responsibilities
- Conduct hearings to assess claims related to government programs and evaluate evidence presented by all parties.
- Analyze case materials, documentation, and testimony to determine liability, sanctions, or penalties.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations based on findings from hearings.
- Make informed decisions on the acceptance or rejection of claims or settlements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures throughout the hearing process.
- Maintain accurate records of hearings and related documentation for future reference.
- Communicate findings and decisions effectively to involved parties and stakeholders.
- Stay current with developments in administrative law and relevant government policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience in adjudication, administrative law, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of government regulations and administrative procedures.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research and case analysis tools.
- Ability to remain impartial and fair in decision-making.
- Certification in mediation or arbitration is a plus.
