Job Brief

As a Head Waitress, you will oversee the daily operations of the dining area while ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient food service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience. You will coordinate with kitchen staff, manage wait staff, and ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, contributing to a positive and welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of wait staff and kitchen personnel to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Manage customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure complete satisfaction with food and service.
  • Monitor dining area cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing, collaborating with the kitchen team to enhance guest offerings.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on dining room operations, including sales, staffing, and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a waitress or in a similar hospitality role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to enforce compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
  • Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
